Silent Art for Grenfell

Be apart of making another community collective piece!

Al-Manaar, MCHC and HIVE have worked in partnership to deliver creative and therapeutic clay art workshops for the local community. Local residents created their own individual clay art pieces in memory of all those who have been affected by Grenfell. We aim to display the final community collective artwork plaque outside Al-Manaar on Sunday 13th June 2021 for viewing.

Some comments from participants included: “I really enjoyed the workshop, it felt like I was in a therapy session”.

On observation, the children were patient, focused and creative. They took their time rolling out the clay, choosing the mould design they wanted and designed their clay art in silence.

There were many children, young people and adults who attended the Silent Art for Grenfell workshop. Everyone quietly designed their own clay art pieces and printed letters and words in memory of Grenfell.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday 13th June 2021 to view the final community collective clay plaque and together have a moment of silence.
