Afghan Refugees Visit to Al-Manaar

A group of newly arrived Afghan refugees visited the Al-Manaar Mosque and Centre earlier today Friday 24th Sep. 2021.

They joined the worshippers for Friday prayer and were then welcomed by Al-Manaar’s management who introduced them to the community activities that take place in the Centre.

Lunch, cooked by Al-Manaar’s professional Chef, Ms Leila Hedgem, was offered to the visitors. They gave positive feedback about the taste and their experience of the visit, which was organised by RBKC’s Cllr Mohamed Bakhtiar.

More similar visits are expected to be organised in the coming days and weeks as part of the local collective efforts to welcome and reintegrate the newly arriving refugees from the war-torn country of Afghanistan.
