Al-manaar Community Kitchen Received 5* Rating

The Al-Manaar Community Kitchen has been awarded a 5 star rating. Ratings are typically given to places where food is supplied. To obtain a 5 star rating means that, at the time of inspection the level of hygiene and compliance with food handling was very good.

The ratings are issued by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

As a community Kitchen the facility is used by a group of ladies from the community known as the Hubb Ladies, the homeless during Winter months, worshippers in the Mosque on Fridays, the youth for cooking competition sessions, and the wider community.

Since Covid-19 the Kitchen has also been utilised to cook meals for local schools and other beneficiaries in need.

Al-Manaar’s CEO, Mr. Abdurahman Sayed, expressed his satisfaction with the recognition and added that Al-Manaar will carry on to work hard to maintain a very high standard and ensure the facility remains open and welcoming.
