Clothes and Toiletries for Newly Arrived Refugees

Al-Manaar and Care4Calais have organised an open day for newly arrived refugees where clothes and toiletries were distributed on Saturday 11th September 2021.

The event was organised by the two voluntary organisations, Care4Calais and Al-Manaar, to support newly arrived refugees.

The support initiative will continue in partnership with partners in the local voluntary and statutory sectors.

We will be collecting clothes and toiletries for newly arrived Afghan refugees, including Qurans in Arabic, Dari and Urdu, prayer mats, ‘Hijabs’ and ‘Abayat’ every day of the week from 10am to 7pm.

The clothes have to be clean and in very good condition. Underwears and toiletries MUST be brand new (not used before). They can be dropped off at Al-Manaar Centre during the above times.

The next distribution will be held in the Earl Scourt area on Saturday 18th September 2021 (more details will follow during the week).
