Earlier this year, Al-Manaar, The Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre was nominated for a Mayor’s Award in the category of Local Community Organisation.

The Mayor’s Awards scheme is run every year to recognise the people and organisations who have gone above and beyond to make an outstanding contribution to improving life for the borough’s residents.
