We, the community, and faith groups that constitute the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Prevent Advisory Group (PAG), condemn the horrific terrorist attacks in London Bridge and Borough Market on Saturday evening in the strongest possible terms.

The three individuals that committed the indefensible acts of murder do not represent Muslims and their acts do not represent Islam. The attack against innocent civilians goes against the teachings of peace, tolerance and safeguarding of life that are fundamental to the practice of Islam. We reject the attackers’ actions and their supposed reasons.

We send our sincere condolences to the families of those that lost their lives and pray for those that were injured in the attack. As always, our doors are open to all and we will help our local communities to recover quickly and positively.

We will never let terrorists divide us. We are proud of Great Britain, its values, its people, and its courageous police, ambulance, and emergency services, who risked their own lives to help those under attack over the weekend. We will stay united and we will be stronger for it.

So let us help those affected, condemn the senseless attacks and work together to preserve the wonderful society that we all belong to here in Britain.

Al-Manaar Condemns Terror Attack on London and Calls for an Emergency Meeting of Mosques

Al-Manaar Mosque and Centre  unequivocally condemn the terror attacks on London last night as a deplorable act of evil that must be defeated by law abiding citizens of this great nation.

The Centre has called for an emergency meeting of the Coordination Council of Mosques to discuss and devise a joint action plan to tackle the causes and symptoms of extremist violence.
