We provide advice and pastoral care including work on a daily basis to assist people with spiritual growth and relationships. We also host guest Imams, and host organise lectures with the aim of creating social bonds within the wider community.
We deliver Quran sessions for everyone with the aim to help beneficiaries connect with The Quran and achieve internal peace and higher degree of piety. These sessions run twice weekly for each audience group, classes that offer different levels of study from beginner to advanced.
Getting married is one of life’s important events. We would be delighted to be part of your transition into marriage. Our imam can perform the ceremony and provide advice to the couple. We also organise Marriage events to create a safer environment for singles to meet with the intention of marriage.
There is a state-of-the-art washing (Ghusl) room integrated within the Almanaar Centre to wash bodies of the deceased in accordance with Islamic rituals. The Ghusl area is fully equipped with washing facilities. For all enquiries please contact the Centre.
Al-Manaar Counselling Service (ACS) is committed to offering accessible counselling service that makes emotional and psychological support available to a wide a range of people in the Grenfell community and beyond. The service is available in multiple languages. Self-referrals, GP and other institutional referrals are accepted.
Al-Manaar Community Kitchen is mainly used to provide catering services to the community. Different groups use the facility to provide support to the community.
The aim is to build confidence in students. This work provides mentoring and support to young people, many of whom return to teach or volunteer at the school as adults. The school operates over 30 teaching weeks a year and over 80 school-aged children benefit and achieve higher grades in their GCSE exams. This service is delivered in partnership with City-Circle charity.
