Join us on 7th July for Remembering Srebrenica Peace Walk 2019 (Bridging the Divide: Confronting Hate) as we come together in peace to remember and honour victims who tragically lost their lives in the Srebrenica genocide.
The objective of the event is also to inspire people to challenge those who wish to divide communities, celebrate those who build bridges between communities and change attitudes and behaviours in others to go out and build bridges of their own.
As we walk together in peace, we take a moment to pause at each place of worship to raise awareness of the Srebrenica genocide and celebrate diversity of communities in the UK.
Remembering Srebrenica Peace Walk 2019 will commence at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue, with stops at St. James Piccadilly Church and Al-Manaar Mosque. Participants will have a unique opportunity to visit the above mentioned places of worship, hear about different religious rituals in Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
All are welcome.
NOTE: Kindly RSVP so that we may coordinate a safe walk based on numbers.
