Grenfell Hall at Al-Manaar
At their last regular meeting held on Friday 29th September 2017 Al-Manaar ‘s Board of Trustees decided to name one of the Halls after the Grenfell Tower where tens of residents perished in a tragic fire on 14th June 2017.
The hall named “Grenfell Hall 1 & 2” was the main space first used as a temporary sleeping space and later on the day where donations were received in and coordinated from.
As with all Al-Manaar halls and rooms, Grenfell Halls 1&2 will continue to be used for meetings and different community and cultural activities with a capacity to host up to 100 people.
Since last Tuesday 3rd October 2017 Al-Manaar’s Grenfell Hall has been used as a weekly Winter Shelter for homeless guests referred by the West London Day Centre/Mission.
