Attacks motivated by extremism, whether from Daesh or the
extreme far right, have made news headlines and brought
concerns relating to radicalisation to the fore. In the UK,
local and central government work together with
community and religious organisations to safeguard
vulnerable people from radicalisation.
At this event, you will hear from people who work in
counter-radicalisation and Prevent, including mentors
working with young people, teachers, relatives of people
who have been groomed into extremism, as well as staff
from your local Prevent team. This will be followed by an
extended Q&A session.
This event is an opportunity for us to learn from the
community and hear your suggestions on how we can
improve our work. It is also an opportunity for you to ask
questions about Prevent and other counter-radicalisation
efforts.
