Project Manager

We are seeking an exceptional person to manage and develop our thriving community kitchen, working with a group of women to build a community of love and support.

Following the Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017 our community kitchen brought together a group of women to cook for their families. Since then, the kitchen has become a healing and loving space, from which the women have begun to develop their own social enterprise projects to support the community around them.

This role will support the women on the next stage of their journey, maintaining and developing the work already carried out to make the kitchen a sustainable and powerful resource for the local community, whilst working with individual women to grow their own skills and projects. We are looking for someone who is an experienced project and community manager, who can multitask to manage a busy and dynamic kitchen and group. We would like you to have exceptional communication skills, and a real commitment to the community and the work of the kitchen.

This role will also require you to connect with local and national charities and build relationships with a range of community stakeholders, including charities, community groups, social enterprises, education institutions and multi-faith groups. We expect the successful applicant to have a minimum of five years’ relevant experience in project and/or community development and management.

In return, we can offer you the opportunity to work closely with a group of exceptional women to have a real impact on their community in a lively and supportive atmosphere. If you are interested, please send us your CV and a covering letter stating how you meet the criteria specified in the job description to: Jobs@mchc.org.uk or by post at:
