Al-Manaar Mosque to close temporarily due to Covid-19
Given the growing concerns with the high levels of COVID-19 infection rates in London, Al-Manaar’s Trustees and Management had to make the difficult decision to close the Al-Manaar Mosque for prayers from Saturday 9th January 2021 until further notice.
Our decision has been reached in close consultation with medical experts, public health officials, imams and other leading partners in the Mosque sector in London. In Islam, the preservation of life is of the utmost importance, a principle used to inform and guide our decisions.
We advise families to pray together at home. We will continue to provide other essential services such as advice and counselling using telephone and other available digital means.
We will monitor the situation on a regular basis, and keep our community updated of when it is safer to reopen the Mosque. Please follow us on social media and check our website: https://almanaar.org.uk/ for updates and relevant information.
May Allah keep everyone safe and well.
