During the Covid-19 pandemic Al-Manaar/MCHC Trust stepped in to support the community.

Between March 2020 and March 2021 we distributed:

1. Masks: 4000
1. Reusable prayer mats: 1400
2. Dates: 3400 packs
3. Food packages/groceries: 4700
4. Hot meals: 3700
5. In partnership with Age-UK K&C, Over 20000 food packages
were delivered to vulnerable elderly members of the wider community.

Services offered:

1. Covid-19 Anti-body Tests accessed by 150 people
1. Covid-19 Vaccinations administered at Al-Manaar Centre for 186 people.
This number will increase during 2021.
1. Al-Manaar Therapeutic Counselling Service delivered 875 sessions.
2. Regular Weekly Sessions for New Muslims and those interested in Islam,
covering topics on the basics of the faith to intellectual discussions on
history and health.
1. Covid-19 Vaccine virtual Information Sessions in English, Arabic and
Somali languages.
